I started growing chillies on my windowsill in Lancashire. Not the usual sunny and hot destination for chilli growing, but I did it nonetheless, and my love, my passion for chillies, my journey into media stardom began.
Before long I was the whacky chili grower star of TV, radio, newspapers and magazines. My hobby turned into a business making chili products with my local producer friends and my rewards for support of local producers was entry into the UKTV Local Food Hero Competition and I progressed to the finals.

The chili growing and chili food production business grew and I ended up with a chilli farm on the Lancashire coast supply fresh chillies up and down the country to Michelin starred restaurants and many wonderful food businesses.
The most popular question is always about how to make chilli con carne and there are some good chili con carne recipes by The Hairy Bikers and BBC Good Food.
Some other popular recipes requests include chili sauce, chili jam and the varieties of chili foods that can be put in a chilly bottle.
People eat them straight from the wok!
Chili cheese was always a firm favourite and new variations always capture my interest.
